This is the Beta version 1.02.04 of UNIGIT. Please, use the according version for installation under Vista& Windows 7 or XP. The installation comes with the latest Hardlock driver from Aladdin. In case you encounter problems with the driver, please check www.aladdin.com and download the appropriate driver.
First of all, the most striking news is the accelerator for 2D gratings. This gives up to a factor of 12 ... 15 speed gain (standard is 4 ... 8). Further new features are nested ellipse and double holes as well as the direct input of a generic 3D ellipsoid.
The latter feature saves the user from tedious input of 3D bodies and does an equidistant 3D slicing itself due to specification. For more details about the new features please read the document "what is new in version 1.02.04" .

This is version 1.02.02 of UNIGIT. Please, use either built 250509 for installation under Vista or XP. It contains some fixes (1D RCWA "soft" or gradient slice, edit sequences, Rayleigh Fourier). Built 111208 is kept only as a backup for XP installation.
UNIGIT 2D code can handle non-orthogonal unit cells from version 1.02.02 on. This gives the user access to more complicated 2D patterns and in addition might help to speed up the computation (e.g., for a hexagonal pattern). The shape of the unit cell is defined by the additional input parameter zeta. Zeta = 0 results in the "classical" orthogonal case.
The ellipse feature in 2D was upgraded to the so-called generalized-ellipse with the ellipse power as additional parameter. This enables to define every shape between ellipse and rectangle just by changing the ellipse power. By setting the power < 1 even concave shapes can be simulated. The shape is immediately shown in the edit window.
In addition, the user can define by means of a check box whether the ellipse is defined in "real world coordinates", i.e., resulting in an ellipse no matter how the unit cell is defined or in the unit cell coordinates which means that the ellipse is distorted in the real world. Give it a try !
Version 1.02.02 is down compatible in terms of the file input, i.e., stack files generated by older versions of UNIGIT can be read by version 1.02.02 without crashing or error message. Hereby, the unit cell is automatically set to orthogonal and the ellipse power is set to 2. Then, the stack file is automatically saved in the new format.
Moreover, the new UNIGIT version 1.02.02 comes with an improved stack editor with additional features such as copy and paste layers intra- or inter stack wise and with more information in the pane !

This is version 1.01.14 of UNIGIT.
Sliced profiles can be shown immediately by button push.
The output control enables the number output in 6 different formats , i.e., 4 or 6 digits and fixed, exponential or scientific.
The result file can be directly accessed (Notepad) by means of a button in the Central Control Board.
The result file can be directly deleted by means of a button in the Central Control Board.
The location where to save the result file can be chosen by means of button in the Central Control Board.
Ellipsoidal (and circular) shapes can be run in 2D.
Beside efficiency, amplitude and phase, also tan_psi, cos_delta and the complex amplitude can be chosen for output.
